About Me
Eloise Scott was born in Bournemouth, South of England in 1984, christened Louise Scott. Eloise first caught the acting bug at the age of nine, when she was given the lead role in her Junior School Christmas production. After catching the bug Eloise quickly enrolled at ‘Swish of the Curtain Drama school’ where she appeared in numerous productions and show cases. She also enrolled at ‘The Stage Door School of Dance’ where she trained for seven years in Ballet, Tap, Modern and Jazz.
Eloise would spend all her free time getting involved in any performance possible, always feeling at home on stage. Eloise also found the time to take a staggering fifteen LAMDA examinations, to gain experience in as many different performance disciplines as possible such as mime and improvisation. She also entered many classes at the Bournemouth festival icluding singing, acting and poetry reading. She always received a high score in these classes, and a number of times was placed in the top three of the class.
Eloise decided not to choose the Drama School route, but instead to go to university to further her education, before diving head first into the world of acting. She gained a place at the University of Surrey Roehampton to study BA Honours in ‘Drama and Theatre performance with Film and Television Studies’. Although acting and performing are Eloise’s first love, she took this opportunity to explore another area of interest Film and T.V, and in this discovered her second love. Eloise is now a keen and very passionate film maker and in her spare time enjoys creating film ideas and filming different projects, she is also a keen producer and editor.
During her time at university, Eloise took a shine to being behind the scenes. And in 2004-2005 was elected as President of the university drama society ‘The Roehampton Players’. Eloise was an obvious choice for this role, after spending her first two years at university performing in as many Roehampton 'players' productions as she could. She also designed and built the set for six of these productions, including three large scale musicals ‘Guys and Dolls', ‘The Wiz’ and 'Copacabana'
During her time as President of ‘The Roehampton Players’ Eloise produced four extremely successful productions, to an exceptionally high standard. Including designing and building the sets for these shows and heading all the technical and back stage teams (Tech. being another area of theatre Eloise loves). The proudest moment during Eloise's time as President was the musical ‘Copacabana’ in which she performed, produced, designed the set, did the tech. and ran the whole event. Eloise also raised a staggering £5000 for this musical, through fundraising events that she organised at the university. ‘The Roehampton Players’ was a self funded organisation, so to put on the show she dreamed of Eloise knew she had to raise this considerable amount of money.
After graduating from university Eloise spent some time working in a theatre doing lighting and tech. on a part time basis, until landing the role of Lala (the evil step sister) in Cinderella, with Chaplains Pantomime. Following this she was offered the job with Class Acts TIE tour, after someone from their offices spotted Eloise performing as Lala in Cinderella. Eloise wants to go on to do some more exciting and challenging roles.
“I love acting so much and would love the opportunity to play some really interesting and diverse characters, that challenge and push me to my limits. I think that one of my favourite things about the acting profession is the fact that I get to meet and work with so many amazingly talented and passionate people, who really inspire me and make me want to do great things.”(Eloise Scott)
Finally in her spare time Eloise can be found doing anything that involves adventure and excitement, she loves being out doors and is a very keen skier. She can also be found dancing, playing Netball, or spending time with friends, being her fun, happy and bubbly self.
Eloise has also just completed a course at Pinewood Television Studios with 'The Actors Center' in Screen acting ending with a very sucesfull showcase at The Gallery Adam Street. Eloise is also soon to appear in some west End Fringe theatre February 2007, details will appear soon. (Watch This space!!)
